An online, take at your own pace, course that will teach you the Science of Pain and how to embody this knowledge through somatic practice and movement education.

You will learn HOW to heal chronic pain, Heal from injury, and even support chronic illness through understanding the nervous system.

There is no detour from the work of healing chronic pain and illness. We must travel to the source, the nervous system wiring that was established from a young age. From this place, in the slowest and most mindful of ways, we can teach the nervous system a new baseline tension, a new baseline of ease.

This is the work of Clinical Somatics - and it will heal much, most, or even all of your chronic pain.

Who is this course for?

 Healing Chronic pain and EVEN chronic illness is possible….

I have lived with chronic pain for twenty years. I have and continue to utilize the incredible healing modalities available to me (that I am so so privileged to be able to afford). Massage, acupuncture, chiropractic, healing foods and supplements, Cranio-sacral and osteopathy, naturopathic care. I practice yoga and walk outside daily, exercise and swim often. I love all of the above, and this physical experience truly led me to my life's trajectory - yoga and then Somatics. AND YET, I have always felt how easeful it might be to not need the above in order to function well.

It is because of my physical experience that I began to seek out the subtler practices of Feldenkreis and Peter Levine’s Somatic Experiencing. I had long been practicing and teaching yin yoga in a subtler way, knowing that to heal I needed to access the root. The root being the nervous system, and the ONLY way we can re-wire the nervous system is through:

+ slow-like-honey movement and release
+ mindfulness

Nevertheless, it wasn’t until a jaw injury and a chronic illness diagnosis that I began to practice what I preach on a daily basis - and to relatively miraculous avail. As someone who likes to β€˜move’, β€˜workout’ and β€˜sweat’, it was difficult to stop all activity except my slow clinical somatic exercises - it was like asking myself β€œdo I really believe this subtle a practice can heal me???” And as with everything, when I have nothing to lose, I gain everything!

Clinical somatic exercises practiced daily for one year and my body has made the wildest shifts - and long lasting because I finally went to the root of the problem - my nervous system.

In this course, I will teach YOU how you can heal the chronic pain or condition you have been experiencing through lecture and practices that will quite literally change your life.

Amalgamating and integrating the science of pain, somatic technology, and resilient-informed psychology, physiology, and neurobiology, you will learn why you are experiencing pain, tingling, migraines, TMJ, long-lasting whiplash injury, chronic fatigue, and even some aspects of chronic illness.

We begin each class with a 30-minute lecture, teaching you about the science of pain, your gamma-loop and myotatic reflex, the nervous system as a programmer of all that we experience (i.e. how a global-high activation leads to chronic pain and illness), and the science of how we re-inform the nervous system towards regeneration and healing.

The lecture will be followed by a one-hour clinical somatic exercise practice (with a little intuitive yin integration - not long holds, don’t worry!)…

You will learn:

+ Somatics as learning to live an embodied life; a paradigm and practice
+ Clinical Somatic Exercises for the WHOLE body

Upon completion, we will offer you recommended readings and suggested trajectories to continue your exploration of healing chronic pain and illness, as well as supporting others on their healing journey. We will also offer two Somatic Dreaming practices to learn how the deep unconscious re-programming of your gamma loop can heal and regenerate the body.
